  • Melt the butter in a small sauce pan over medium heat.
  • Add the milk, powdered sugar and brown sugar. Whisk together until fully combined and bubbling, about 4-5 minutes.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract and almond extract. Continue cooking for an additional 1-2 minutes or until the brown sugar glaze has thickened.
  • Remove from the heat and allow to cool completely before topping all of your favorite cakes, cookies and donuts with the glaze.

Notes

  • Cooking times may vary depending on how small or large the pan is.
  • The almond extract adds some nice flavor but if you don’t like it, simply omit from the recipe.
  • This recipe works well with either dark brown sugar or light brown sugar.
