Melt the butter in a small sauce pan over medium heat.
Add the milk, powdered sugar and brown sugar. Whisk together until fully combined and bubbling, about 4-5 minutes.
Stir in the vanilla extract and almond extract. Continue cooking for an additional 1-2 minutes or until the brown sugar glaze has thickened.
Remove from the heat and allow to cool completely before topping all of your favorite cakes, cookies and donuts with the glaze.
- Cooking times may vary depending on how small or large the pan is.
- The almond extract adds some nice flavor but if you don’t like it, simply omit from the recipe.
- This recipe works well with either dark brown sugar or light brown sugar.
