First, start by greasing a plate with butter. This will prevent the cooked Brigadeiro fudge from sticking to your plate after you transfer it there.
In a sauce pan over medium heat, combine your sweetened condensed milk, butter, Nesquick powder and unsweetened cocoa powder. Mix very well and no matter what, do not stop mixing!
After approximately 15 minutes of mixing, you will see that your mixture will begin to thicken. You’ll know it’s ready when it begins to hold its’ shape and resembles a thick paste rather than a liquid form. You should be able to run your spatula through the middle of your mixture without it coming back together for at least 3 seconds once it’s ready.
Pour your mixture onto the greased plate you prepared earlier.
Cool the brigadeiro mixture in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
Pour the sprinkles into a bowl with enough space for you to roll your Brigadeiros into little fudge balls.
Prepare the decorative candy cups that will hold the brigadieros.
Remove the chocolate truffle mixture from the refrigerator.
Grease your hands with butter. The butter will keep the mixture from sticking to your hands when rolling.
Scoop the brigadeiro mixture using a tbsp and roll into a ball.
Roll the brigadeiro over the sprinkles, covering any exposed spots.
Finally, place the Brazilian chocolate truffles into the decorative candy cups and enjoy!
