Air Fryer Honey Garlic Chicken Wings

  • 6 lbs chicken wings
  • 1 cup flour all purpose
  • 1 tbsp salt or to taste
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper or to taste
  • 1 tbsp granulated garlic or to taste
  • 2 tsp onion powder or to taste
  • 2 tsp paprika or to taste
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves finely minced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce


  • First, start by cutting the tips off of the wings and separating the drums from the flats if desired. You may also cook them whole if you prefer.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F for 5 minutes.
  • Use a paper towel to pat dry the chicken wings.
  • In a bowl, combine the salt, pepper, paprika, onion powder and granulated garlic.
  • Season the chicken wings with half of the seasoning blend.
  • Mix together the flour and the rest of the seasoning blend.
  • Coat the chicken wings with the seasoned flour.
  • Spray the inside of the air fryer with non stick cooking spray.
  • Transfer the wings to the air fryer and cook at 400 degrees F for 16 minutes, flipping half way. Check the temperature of the wings with a kitchen thermometer to ensure they are at least 165 degrees F before serving. Otherwise, continue cooking until done.
  • Finely mince the garlic cloves.
  • In a pot over medium high heat, combine the butter and garlic cloves. Saute for about 1 minute or until fragrant.
  • Pour in the honey and soy sauce. Mix everything together to combine.
  • Lower the heat to medium low and cook until the honey garlic sauce has thickened. This may take about 8-10 minutes.
  • Remove the chicken wings from the air fryer and toss in the honey garlic sauce.
  • Garnish with scallions or fresh parsley and serve immediately.


  • Season your air fried chicken wings according to taste. Feel free to adjust the measurements of the seasonings based on what you prefer.
  • Check for doneness using a kitchen thermometer. Once the internal temperature of the wings reach 165 degrees F, they are ready.
  • Add 1/3 cup of hot sauce to the honey garlic sauce if you want a little kick.
