How To Dehydrate Strawberries In The Air Fryer
- First, start by preheating the air fryer to the lowest possible temperature for 5 minutes. Mine is able to go as low as 180 degrees F but I do know that some air fryers only go as low as 200 degrees F.
- Wash and remove the stems from the strawberries and slice them into thin slices about 1/8 of an inch thick. Dry them with a paper towel.
- Place the slices inside of the air fryer and cook at 180-200 degrees F for 1 hour. Flip them over after 30 minutes.
- Remove them from the air fryer once the texture of the dehydrated strawberries resemble leather.
- Use them to top off some of your favorite snacks or breakfast dishes and enjoy!
Slice the strawberries then place them in the air fryer to begin the dehydration process.
What Can I Use Them For?
- Oatmeal
- Cereal
- Smoothies
- Granola
- Ice Cream
- Trail Mix
- Donuts
Storing Suggestions
Dried strawberries that have been air fried can be stored in an air tight container for up to 1 year at 60 degrees F. I do recommend checking on them from time to time for condensation. If you do see any condensation inside of the container, place them back into the air fryer again to dehydrate them completely. They will last for about 6 months at a temperature of 80 degrees F.
Recipe Notes
- Some air fryers only go as low as 200 degrees F. If this is the case for you, make sure to check on the dried strawberries around the 45 minute mark.
- Slice the strawberries to about 1/8 of an inch thick. Cut them as evenly as possible to ensure that they finish cooking at the same time.
- Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may have to work in batches. Don’t over crowd the air fryer.
