Ingredients
- Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
- Granulated Garlic
- Ground Black Pepper
- Salt
- Chicken Bouillon Cube
- Hot Sauce
- Butter
- Honey
- Ranch Seasoning Mix
- Garlic Cloves
- Sharp Cheddar Cheese
- Hawaiian Sweet Rolls
- Sesame Seeds
How to Make Buffalo Chicken Sliders
- First, start off by seasoning your chicken breasts with the salt, ground black pepper and granulated garlic. Place your seasoned chicken breasts into your Instant Pot with water and the chicken bouillon cube. Cook on high pressure for 8-10 minutes or until you are able to easily shred them with forks. Alternatively, you may use canned chicken, rotisserie chicken or boil the chicken in a pot on the stove.
- Once you have finished shredding your chicken breasts, transfer them to a bowl and set aside.
- Chop and mince your garlic cloves on a cutting board.
- Next, prepare your buffalo sauce. In a bowl, combine your hot sauce, ranch seasoning mix, melted butter, honey and minced garlic cloves. Mix with a whisk until all ingredients are well combined.
- Pour your buffalo sauce into your shredded chicken, leaving about 3 tbsp behind to top off the buns with at the end. Mix the sauce and chicken well to combine.
- Using a knife, slice your Hawaiian sweet rolls in half to separate the top buns from the bottom. Place the bottom buns in a greased 9×13 baking dish. Top them off with all of your buffalo chicken mixture.
- Top off the buffalo chicken with the sharp cheddar cheese.
- Next, place the top part of your Hawaiian sweet rolls on top of your chicken and cheese to close the sliders.
- Brush the top of your buns with the remaining buffalo sauce and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake in a preheated 350 degree F oven for 20 minutes or until the cheese has melted.
- Uncover and bake for an additional 2-3 minutes, just enough to toast the top of your buns.
- Remove from the oven, serve and enjoy!
Tips & Variations for Making Buffalo Chicken Sliders
- For this recipe, I used sharp cheddar cheese but feel free to switch it up and use whatever cheese you prefer. Sometimes I like mixing cheddar with mozzarella and it comes out just as delicious!
- You may cook the chicken breasts whichever way you feel comfortable with. You can use an Instant Pot, a stove top Pressure Cooker, or even boil them in a pot on the stove the old fashioned way. Alternatively, feel free to use store-bought rotisserie chicken or canned chicken if you want to speed things up.
- If you can’t find sesame seeds you may omit them from this recipe. Although, I really do enjoy the taste of toasted sesame seeds on top of my slider buns.
