This Crockpot Strawberry Cobbler is absolutely delicious! It’s made with fresh strawberries then topped off with vanilla ice cream for the perfect ending! I love making desserts in my slow cooker because you dump everything in, hit the button and you’re good to go. Run around and work on other errands as your cobbler cooks in the crockpot! I’ve also made this Slow Cooker Peach Cobbler, Slow Cooker Cherry Pineapple Dump Cake and Crockpot Chocolate Cake and I always receive compliments on my desserts!

How To Make Crockpot Strawberry Cobbler

  1. First, start by chopping and dicing your fresh strawberries and adding them to a bowl.
  2. Next, add flour, sugar and vanilla extract to the bowl with the strawberries. Mix well to coat the strawberries in the mixture.
  3. Grease your crockpot with non stick cooking spray.
  4. In a separate bowl, add the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Whisk the ingredients together to break up any lumps from the flour.
  5. Slice your butter in thin slices and set aside for now.
  6. Next, add the strawberries to the crockpot then top them off evenly with the flour mixture.
  7. Add the thinly sliced pieces of butter to the top of the flour mixture.
  8. Double up a piece of paper towel and cover the crockpot with it. Then close the lid. The paper towel will catch any condensation.
  9. Next, cook the strawberry cobbler in the crockpot for 3-3.5 hours or until golden. Alternatively, you can cook it on low for 6-6.5 hours. Change out the paper towel as needed.
  10. Finally, serve warm with vanilla ice cream and enjoy!

Tips & Variations

  • If you can’t find good quality fresh strawberries at the grocery store, buy a can of strawberry pie filling and use that instead. If you’re using store bought strawberry filling, don’t add anything to it. Simply add it to the crockpot as is and top it off with the flour mixture and butter.
  • You can use frozen strawberries. Make sure to thaw them before and follow all of the same steps for the recipe.
  • Use unsalted butter for this recipe for best results.
  • Since there are so many variations of slow cookers out there, I recommend keeping an eye on your strawberry cobbler around the 2.5 hour mark to ensure it does not burn. Some slow cookers cook faster than others so I like adding this helpful tip just in case.
