This mango dragonfruit lemonade is one of my favorite Starbucks copycat recipes. It’s made with mango juice, pineapple juice, dragonfruit and fresh lemon juice. Adding the pineapple juice was definitely my own twist to this recipe but it is absolutely delicious. This dragonfruit drink is perfect for those hot summer days when you’re craving something refreshing to enjoy. The best part is, you can skip that drive to Starbucks and enjoy this delicious copycat recipe right at home. If you loved this recipe, you’ll definitely enjoy this Strawberry Horchata or this Blueberry Pineapple Smoothie.

I know you’re probably wondering that the difference is between this mango dragonfruit lemonade and a mango dragonfruit refresher. The answer is simple. The only difference is that the refresher is not made with lemon juice. If you wanted to make a mango dragonfruit refresher out of this mango dragonfruit lemonade, simply omit the lemon juice.

Ingredients for the dragonfruit drink recipe

How To Make Mango Dragonfruit Lemonade

  1. First, start by cutting the dragonfruit into pieces. Blend together with the lemon juice in a blender. You may also use frozen dragonfruit or the smoothie packets that I’m using for this recipe.
  2. Pour the blended dragonfruit and lemon mixture into a pitcher.
  3. Stir in the mango juice and pineapple juice.
  4. Add ice cubes to your glass before pouring the drink.
  5. Finally, pour yourself a glass of mango dragonfruit lemonade, garnish with a slice of lemon and enjoy.

Why Use Pineapple Juice Instead of White Grape Juice?

I decided to spice things up for this mango dragonfruit lemonade recipe. Traditionally, this Starbucks copycat recipe is made with white grape juice and not pineapple juice. I’ve tried it both ways and I really love the flavor that the pineapple juice adds to this lemonade. It tastes really fresh and gives me all sorts of summer vibes.

Tips & Variations

  • For this recipe, you may use fresh dragonfruit, frozen or the smoothie packets that I used. You should still blend the lemon juice and dragonfruit in the blender because you’ll get a smoother texture.
  • Use fresh lemons for this mango dragonfruit lemonade recipe. Fresh lemons will definitely give you that strong lemonade flavor you’re looking for.
  • Substitute the pineapple juice for white grape juice or even apple juice. Honestly, you can use any light colored juice you prefer.
  • The Starbucks version of the mango dragonfruit refresher contains coffee beans. Feel free to add 1/4-1/2 tsp of green coffee bean extract to this recipe for a caffeine boost.
