- 2 cod fish fillets fresh or frozen
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tbsp hot sauce
- lemon juice from 1 small lemon
- 1 tbsp blackened seasoning or to taste
- parsley for garnishing
Place the cod fish in an air tight container or zip loc bag with the milk, hot sauce and lemon juice. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. Preheat the air fryer at 400 degrees F for 5 minutes.
Remove the cod fish from the milk mixture and pat dry with a paper towel.
Season the fish on both sides with blackened seasoning. Transfer to the air fryer and cook at 400 degrees F for 10-12 minutes, flipping half way.
You'll know it's ready when the internal temperature reaches 145 degrees F.
Serve with fresh chopped parsley and an extra squeeze of lemon juice and enjoy.
- Make sure the cod fish reaches an internal temperature of at least 145 degrees F before consuming.
- Always read your air fryer manual before using it.
- Letting the cod fish sit in the milk mixture for at least 30 minutes will help remove excess fishy taste.
