Equipment

Ingredients

  • 2 cod fish fillets fresh or frozen
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce
  • lemon juice from 1 small lemon
  • 1 tbsp blackened seasoning or to taste
  • parsley for garnishing

Instructions

  • Place the cod fish in an air tight container or zip loc bag with the milk, hot sauce and lemon juice. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the air fryer at 400 degrees F for 5 minutes.
  • Spray the inside of the air fryer with propellant free avocado oil cooking spray.
  • Remove the cod fish from the milk mixture and pat dry with a paper towel.
  • Season the fish on both sides with blackened seasoning.
  • Transfer to the air fryer and cook at 400 degrees F for 10-12 minutes, flipping half way.
  • You'll know it's ready when the internal temperature reaches 145 degrees F.
  • Serve with fresh chopped parsley and an extra squeeze of lemon juice and enjoy.

Notes

  • Make sure the cod fish reaches an internal temperature of at least 145 degrees F before consuming.
  • Always read your air fryer manual before using it.
  • Letting the cod fish sit in the milk mixture for at least 30 minutes will help remove excess fishy taste.
