First, start by combining room temperature butter, white granulated sugar and brown sugar in a stand mixer or in a bowl if using a hand mixer. Mix together to combine.
Next, add in the room temperature egg and vanilla extract and continue mixing.
In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. Whisk together to break up any lumps from the flour.
Begin preheating your air fryer at 350 degrees F for 10 minutes. It needs to be very hot before you add in the pizookie dough.
Next, add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients about 1/4 cup at a time so you don’t end up in a cloud of flour dust. Mix well to combine stopping to scrape the sides of the bowl as needed. Stop mixing once all of the flour mixture is incorporated into the cookie dough.
Remove the wrappers from all of the Hershey’s kisses. Add them to the cookie dough and fold them in using a spatula.
Grease an 8 inch non stick cake pan or a cake pan that will fit into your air fryer.
Add the cookie dough to the greased cake pan. Push the dough into the pan, spreading it out and evening out the sides. You can use the bottom of a clean cup or your hands if you wish.
Place the pizookie dough into the preheated air fryer and cook at 350 degrees F for 8-10 minutes or until it is completely cooked through. It took my air fryer about 9 minutes to fully cook the center of the pizookie.
Carefully remove the pizookie from the air fryer and let it cool for about 10 minutes.
Finally, serve warm with vanilla ice cream if desired.
