Air Fryer Stuffed Flounder

Make this easy and delicious air fryer stuffed flounder in under 30 minutes. Flounder fillets are stuffed with crab meat, rolled up then air fried to golden perfection. Serve with a glass of wine and enjoy.

Ingredients

  • 2 flounder fillets
  • lemon juice half a lemon
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder or to taste
  • 1 tsp salt or to taste
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper or to taste
  • 1/4 cup lump crab meat
  • 1/4 cup seasoned bread crumbs
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 small shallot minced
  • 5 sprigs parsley chopped
  • 1 garlic clove minced
  • 1 tsp old bay
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  • Season the flounder fillets with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder and lemon juice. Set aside for now.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F for 5 minutes.
  • Finely mince the garlic, shallot and parsley.
  • Melt the butter in the microwave in 30 second intervals until fully melted.
  • In a bowl, combine the crab meat, garlic, shallot, parsley, old bay, seasoned bread crumbs and melted butter. Toss well until combined.
  • Scoop the crab meat mixture on top of the flounder fillets. Roll the flounders up and use a toothpick to hold them so they don’t fall apart.
  • Drizzle olive oil on top of the stuffed flounder fillets.
  • Spray the air fryer with propellant free cooking spray.
  • Transfer the stuffed flounder fillets to the air fryer and air fry at 400 degrees F for 18 minutes.
  • Top with more fresh parsley, serve and enjoy with a glass of wine.

Notes

  • Use a very good quality crab meat for this air fryer stuffed flounder recipe.
  • Air fryer cooking times and temperatures may vary depending on the brand you have.
  • Use seasoned bread crumbs otherwise you’ll have to season them yourself for flavor.
