First, start by cutting each slice of bread into 4 equal sized sticks.
In a bowl, combine the milk, eggs, ground cinnamon, vanilla extract and Hennessy. Whisk the ingredients together until fully incorporated.
Dip the sticks of bread into the egg mixture, coating all sides.
Add butter to a pan over medium low heat.
Once the butter has melted, place the French toast sticks in the pan to cook.
Cook the drunken French toast for 6-8 minutes or until golden brown, flipping half way through the cooking process.
Make the Hennessy syrup and serve immediately.
