First, start by seasoning your chicken wings. In a large bowl, add the chicken wings, lime juice, salt, ground black pepper, granulated garlic, paprika powder and crushed red pepper flakes. Mix together and combine the ingredients well so the seasonings coat the chicken wings.
Next, add water to the Instant Pot. I have an 8 qt and use 1 1/2 cups of water. If you have a smaller one, you may need just 1 cup. Place the trivet inside of the Instant Pot.
Add the chicken wings to the Instant Pot, carefully placing them on top of the trivet. Close the lid and cook on high pressure for 8 minutes.
Next, when the chicken wings are finished, do a quick release of pressure. You’ll know the pressure is done being released once the pin drops.
Melt the butter in a microwave safe bowl. Chop and mince the garlic cloves, set them aside for later and preheat your oven to 500 degrees F.
Next, remove the chicken wings from the Instant Pot and transfer them to a bowl. Add the melted butter, olive oil and minced garlic. Toss the chicken wings to ensure they are completely coated with the garlic mixture.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil sprayed with cooking spray and place your chicken wings on top. Bake in a preheated 500 degrees F oven for 7 minutes, then broil for the last 2-3 minutes.
Next, remove the chicken wings from the oven and top off with parmesan cheese and fresh parsley.
Finally, serve your Instant Pot garlic parmesan chicken wings and enjoy!
