Equipment

  • baking sheet
  • parchment paper

Ingredients

  • 17.3 oz puff pastry sheets 2 sheets
  • 1/4 cup Nutella
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar or as much as you'd like

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Remove the puff pastry sheets from the packaging and roll them open over parchment paper.
  • Spread Nutella over each pastry sheet.
  • Roll up the pastry sheets and cut 8 even sized pinwheels from each sheet.
  • Transfer the pastries to a parchment paper lined baking sheet. Spray the parchment paper with non stick baking spray.
  • Bake at 375 degrees F for 18-20 minutes or until the delicious pastry swirls are golden.
  • Remove from the oven and top with sifted powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

  • Keep an eye on your pinwheels around the 15 minute mark as some ovens bake faster than others.
  • Add chopped fruits or nuts to this recipe to kick it up a notch.
  • Topping with powdered sugar is optional but very tasty.
  • You can skip out on the parchment paper if you don’t have any and bake on a greased baking sheet but I do find that the bottom of the pastries tend to over bake without the greased parchment paper.
