- 12.4 oz canned cinnamon rolls
- oil vegetable or canola
First, start by pouring about 2 inches of oil into a large pot.
Heat the oil over medium heat until it reaches about 355 degrees F. Use a kitchen thermometer to measure the temperature. Transfer the cinnamon rolls to a cutting board. Use a small round cookie cutter to cut a hole down the center of each cinnamon bun. Save those donut holes for frying. Fry the donuts and donut holes for 1-2 minutes on each side. Cook them in batches, about 3 at a time so the oil temperature doesn’t drop.
Transfer the donuts to a paper towel lined plate to soak up the excess oil.
Spread the cream cheese icing from the cinnamon roll canister over the donuts while they are still hot.
Finally, serve and enjoy!
- Make sure the oil reaches the correct temperature before frying the donuts.
- It’s not necessary to warm up the icing unless you are unable to ice them while they’re still hot.
- Top them with your favorite holiday sprinkles or enjoy as is.
