- 2 salmon fillets
- spicy cajun salad dressing to taste
- 1 tbsp cajun seasoning or to taste
- lime juice 1/2 of a lime to season salmon
- 1/4 cup shredded carrots
- 1/2 small red onion sliced
- green leaf lettuce chopped
- 1/2 tbsp unsalted butter
Begin by making this homemade spicy cajun salad dressing or you can buy this store bought version instead (it might be the closest I've found) but I promise you the homemade version will not disappoint In a bowl, season the salmon with fresh lime juice and cajon seasoning on all sides
In a pan, heat up the butter at medium high heat
Place the salmon in the pan and cook for 5-6 minutes on both sides or until fully cooked, browned and flaky
In a plate, assemble the lettuce, shredded carrots and sliced red onions
Cut the salmon into pieces and top off the salad with the salmon
-
- Make sure to thoroughly cook the salmon until flaky and browned on the outside
-
- I used green leaf lettuce for this recipe, but you can make it your own and add any additional toppings or use any kind of lettuce you'd like
