Kick breakfast up a notch and make delicious, boneless air fryer ham steak. I love hickory smoked ham steaks so that’s the kind I like making in the air fryer. The ham I am using for this recipe is already cooked but warming it up in the air fryer will crisp up the edges nicely and make it that much more delicious. I also recommend trying chorizo in the air fryer or these air fried salami chips, perfect for serving up as an appetizer.

How To Make Air Fryer Ham Steak

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F for 5 minutes.
  2. Place the ham steaks inside of the air fryer. If you have very large steak slices, you’ll want to air fry them in batches.
  3. Cook at 400 degrees F for 6-7 minutes, flipping halfway.
  4. Serve immediately with breakfast or your favorite side dish.
You only need 1 ingredient for this recipe which is boneless, cooked ham steak.

Is The Ham Already Cooked?

Yes, the hickory smoked ham I purchased to make this recipe is already cooked. We are just air frying the steaks in order to heat them through and crisp up the edges a bit.

Serving Suggestions

Serve ham with almost anything. I enjoy mine for breakfast with a side of eggs and buttered toast. Enjoy ham for lunch or dinner with a side of veggies or some macaroni and cheese. This dish is so versatile that it’ll work with almost anything else.

Ham slices heated in the air fryer make the perfect breakfast served with eggs and buttered toast.

Recipe Notes

  • Adjust the cook time to your liking. I prefer ham with crispy edges but if you don’t, just reduce the cooking time by about 2 minutes.
  • I used boneless hickory smoked cooked ham steak for this recipe.
  • Cook in batches if you have a smaller air fryer or if your sliced ham steaks are very large.
  • Always read your air fryer manual before using it.
