This Air Fryer Pizookie with Hershey’s kisses is the ultimate air fryer dessert! This can be made as an individual pizookie recipe if you’re up for eating an entire 8 inch cookie cake. Or you can share with friends and family which is what I did. The reason I love this pizookie recipe so much is because I decided to use Hershey’s kisses instead of chocolate chips. The Hershey’s kisses made this giant cookie so loaded with chocolate that it is truly a chocolate lover’s dream! I figured if I’m going to make a giant cookie in the air fryer, I might as well add giant chocolate chips (aka Hershey’s kisses). What Is A Pizookie?
I know some of you are wondering, what in the world is a pizookie? Essentially, it’s a giant cookie! The word pizookie is a combination of the words pizza and cookie. It’s obviously a cookie but it’s large like the size of a pizza. I love the idea of using my air fryer to make a pizookie because it usually takes over 20 minutes to bake one in an oven.
Ingredients
- Butter
- Brown Sugar
- White Granulated Sugar
- Egg
- Vanilla Extract
- Flour
- Baking Powder
- Salt
- Hershey’s Kisses
How To Make Air Fryer Pizookie with Hershey’s Kisses
- First, start by combining room temperature butter, white granulated sugar and brown sugar in a stand mixer or in a bowl if using a hand mixer. Mix together to combine.
- Next, add in the room temperature egg and vanilla extract and continue mixing.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. Whisk together to break up any lumps from the flour.
- Begin preheating your air fryer at 350 degrees F for 10 minutes. It needs to be very hot before you add in the pizookie dough.
- Next, add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients about 1/4 cup at a time so you don’t end up in a cloud of flour dust. Mix well to combine stopping to scrape the sides of the bowl as needed. Stop mixing once all of the flour mixture is incorporated into the cookie dough.
- Remove the wrappers from all of the Hershey’s kisses. Add them to the cookie dough and fold them in using a spatula.
- Grease an 8 inch non stick cake pan or a cake pan that will fit into your air fryer.
- Add the cookie dough to the greased cake pan. Push the dough into the pan, spreading it out and evening out the sides. You can use the bottom of a clean cup or your hands if you wish.
- Place the pizookie dough into the preheated air fryer and cook at 350 degrees F for 8-10 minutes or until it is completely cooked through. It took my air fryer about 9 minutes to fully cook the center of the pizookie.
- Carefully remove the pizookie from the air fryer and let it cool for about 10 minutes.
- Finally, serve warm with vanilla ice cream if desired.
What Else Can I Add To My Giant Cookie?
- M&Ms
- Chopped Nuts
- Sprinkles
- Chocolate Syrup
- Caramel
- Nutella
- Whipped Cream
Tips & Variations
- Always make sure to read your air fryer manual before using it. My pizookie was fully cooked around 9 minutes but some air fryers may cook faster or slower. Make sure to check for doneness around the 8 minute mark. Most air fryers will fully cook a pizookie within 10 minutes.
- If you don’t have Hershey’s Kisses, feel free to use either milk chocolate chips or semi-sweet chocolate chips instead. I used Hershey’s kisses for this recipe because I love the extra chunky chocolate pieces in my pizookie.
- Make sure to use the right sized cake pan for your air fryer. I have a 7 qt and used an 8 inch. Alternatively, you can create a pan using multiple layers of aluminum foil.
