This easy Oreo milkshake recipe is packed with oreo cookies, vanilla ice cream and evaporated milk. When it comes to tasty and refreshing summer treats, nothing beats this delicious shake. My homemade oreo milkshake is a spin off of the classic cookies and cream milkshake recipe from Chick-fil-a that everyone loves. So if you’re trying to stay home this summer and skip the long lines at the ice cream parlors, I highly recommend making this cookies and cream milkshake and you can also give this Strawberry Oreo Milkshake a try as well.

Making The Creamiest Cookies And Cream Milkshake

The secret to making a creamy oreo milkshake at home is the ice cream to milk ratio. You’ve got to make sure that you’re using a good amount of ice cream to achieve that creamy texture. So if you have never made a homemade milkshake before, don’t worry! This recipe will teach you how to make the best Oreo milkshake ever right at home!

  • Oreo Cookies – You can’t have an oreo milkshake without traditional oreo cookies.
  • Vanilla Ice cream – Regular vanilla ice cream or vanilla bean ice cream will work just fine.
  • Evaporated Milk – Use evaporated milk for a super smooth and creamy consistency.

How To Make An Oreo Milkshake

  1. First, start by adding the vanilla ice cream and evaporated milk to the blender.
  2. Next, add the oreo cookies to the blender. If you’re blender isn’t powerful enough, you may want to give the cookies a rough chop before adding them in. I used this blender and it blends whole Oreos perfectly.
  3. Close the lid and blend on high speed for 2-3 minutes or until you achieve a smooth consistency for your milkshake.
  4. Finally, serve with whipped cream and more Oreo cookies if desired.

Can I Substitute The Evaporated Milk?

Yes, you can definitely substitute the evaporated milk for your milk of preference. The evaporated milk does give the milkshake a very creamy texture. But if you prefer whole milk, almond milk, oat milk or any other milk, feel free to use any of those alternatives for this recipe.

Optional Toppings

  • Add 2 tbsp of chocolate syrup to the blender with the rest of the ingredients for some extra chocolate flavor.
