Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F for 5 minutes.
Rinse and scrub the potatoes well. You may peel or keep the skin on like I did.
Cut the potatoes lengthwise about a 1/4 of an inch thick.
Dry them completely with a paper towel.
Cut each hot dog into 4 equal parts. Slice each piece of hot dog down the center in a cross shape, but do not slice them all the way through. Set aside for now.
Toss the potatoes in olive oil then transfer to the air fryer in one single layer. Cook at 400 degrees F for 20-23 minutes, opening to shake the basket every 5 minutes.
Once the French fries are crispy, add the hot dogs and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes.
Remove from the air fryer, transfer to a plate and sprinkle with salt to taste.
Drizzle the salchipapas with mayoketchup or serve on the side for dipping and enjoy.
