Don’t let those ripe bananas go to waste and instead make these air fryer banana fritters with everyday household ingredients. A dash of cinnamon and vanilla bring this recipe to the next level. Top with powdered sugar and serve immediately. The best part is that this healthy version of banana fritters is air fried and not deep fried. However, if you are looking for a deep fried recipe, try these Jamaican banana fritters instead. I’ll also add that the air fryer works perfectly for various recipes including fruits like these dehydrated strawberries.

How To Make Air Fryer Banana Fritters

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 365 degrees F for 5 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, mash the bananas with a fork.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt to combine.
  4. Add the mashed bananas, brown sugar, cinnamon, milk and vanilla extract to the bowl with the dry ingredients. Mix everything together until fully combined.
  5. Place an air fryer parchment paper liner inside of the air fryer and spray it with propellant-free coconut oil cooking spray.
  6. Use a tbsp or cookie scoop to transfer the dollops of banana fritter batter to the air fryer, leaving space in between them so they don’t stick together after cooking. You’ll have to cook them in separate batches until you’ve finished all of the batter.
  7. Cook at 365 degrees F for 7-8 minutes or until the fritters are a dark, golden brown color. There is no need to flip them.
  8. Remove the banana fritters from the air fryer and immediately top with powdered sugar and serve.
