Ingredients
- Cod Fish – Fresh or frozen fillets will work for this recipe.
- Lemon, Milk, Hot Sauce – Marinate the fish for 30 minutes in this mixture to remove excess fishy taste.
- Blackened Seasoning – Season the cod fish on all sides with blackened seasoning. I am using the old bay brand.
- Fresh Parsley – Garnish with fresh parsley once ready and enjoy.
How To Make Air Fryer Blackened Cod Fish
- Place the cod fish in an air tight container or zip loc bag with the milk, hot sauce and lemon juice. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat the air fryer at 400 degrees F for 5 minutes.
- Spray the inside of the air fryer with propellant free avocado oil cooking spray.
- Remove the cod fish from the milk mixture and pat dry with a paper towel.
- Season the fish on both sides with blackened seasoning.
- Transfer to the air fryer and cook at 400 degrees F for 10-12 minutes, flipping half way.
- You’ll know it’s ready when the internal temperature reaches 145 degrees F.
- Serve with fresh chopped parsley and an extra squeeze of lemon juice and enjoy.
