Ingredients

  • Tilapia Fish Fillets – Generously season the tilapia on all sides with the blackened seasoning.
  • Lemon Juice – Freshly squeezed lemon juice is best.
  • Blackened Seasoning – Make your own homemade version or try this store bought old bay blackened seasoning.

How To Make Air Fryer Blackened Tilapia

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F for 5 minutes.
  2. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the tilapia fillets.
  3. Pat dry the fish with a paper towel before seasoning.
  4. Season the tilapia on all sides with blackened seasoning.
  5. Spray the inside of the air fryer with this propellant-free avocado oil spray.
  6. Transfer the tilapia fillets to the air fryer and cook at 400 degrees F for 8-10 minutes or until cooked through. There is no need to flip.
  7. Use a spatula to remove the tilapia from the air fryer so the fish doesn’t break apart.
  8. Top with fresh parsley if desired and serve immediately over salad, in fish tacos or any other way you’d like.

Storing Suggestions
