How To Make Air Fryer Broccoli Fritters

  1. In a pot over high heat, bring water to a boil.
  2. Add the broccoli and boil just until fork tender but not mushy. This took me less than 5 minutes to achieve. You may also microwave the broccoli for about 3 minutes instead.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 350 degrees F for 5 minutes.
  4. Drain the broccoli and allow to cool. Transfer to a bowl and mash with a potato masher.
  5. Add the egg, panko bread crumbs, parmesan cheese, cheddar cheese, minced garlic cloves, chopped green scallions, salt, black pepper, paprika powder and cayenne pepper to the bowl and mix everything together until well combined.
  6. Line the air fryer with parchment paper and spray with propellant free cooking spray.
  7. Take about 2-3 tbsp of the mixture and form into a round patty.
  8. Transfer the broccoli cheese fritters to the air fryer, leaving enough space in between so they don’t touch each other. You’ll have to cook in batches.
  9. Cook at 350 degrees F for 18-20 minutes or until the edges are golden brown, flipping halfway.
  10. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy.

Storing Suggestions

Store leftover air fryer broccoli fritters in an air tight container lined with a paper towel in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. The paper towel will absorb any excess moisture and maximize the freshness of the fritters.

These air fryer broccoli fritters are made with simple everyday ingredients.

Recipe Notes

  • Cook in batches and do not over crowd the air fryer.
  • Do not over cook the broccoli, you don’t want it to be mushy but fork tender.
  • Keep an eye on the fritters after the 15 minute mark as every air fryer cooks at a different speed.
  • Always read your air fryer manual before using it.
