What Can You Serve With Air Fryer Garlic Shrimp?
I usually serve this Arugula Avocado Salad with Homemade Lime Vinaigrette and sometimes I make this Air Fryer Garlic Bread to pair with my shrimp. You can also serve it with rice, vegetables or anything else you enjoy!
Why Make Shrimp In The Air Fryer?
To make a long story short, shrimp or prawns cooked in the air fryer are easier and quicker. it’s much easier to clean an air fryer than it is to clean pots, pans and baking dishes. If you already own an air fryer, then you definitely know where I’m coming from! It usually takes me about 10 minutes, give or take, to cook shrimp on the stove top. In the air fryer, they’re cooked for just 7 minutes.

- Spray non stick cooking spray to the inside of the basket in the air fryer.
- Next, preheat the air fryer by setting it to 400 degrees F for 3 minutes.
- Chop and mince the garlic cloves.
- In a medium bowl, season the shrimp or prawns with the dry white wine, olive oil, salt, crushed red pepper flakes and minced garlic cloves.
- Stir to coat the shrimp with all the seasonings.
- Next, add the seasoned garlic shrimp to the air fryer basket and cook at 400 degrees F for 7 minutes, flipping them over after 4 minutes.
- Transfer the cooked shrimp to a plate, top off with lemon and fresh parsley and enjoy!
What Else Can I Make In My Air Fryer?
When it comes to the air fryer, there are so many options. Some of the recipes I’ve made include this Air Fryer Old Bay Shrimp and Air Fryer Cornish Hens. I’ve also made dessert in the air fryer with these Air Fryer Easter Bunny Donuts which you can customize to fit different holidays or simply make with just the icing for a regular day. Each day I learn more and more about my air fryer, so I’m sure there are more recipes on the way!
Tips & Variations
- I really like keeping the shrimp tails on for this recipe because they hold in tons of flavor. But you can certainly remove them if you just don’t care for them.
- Buy peeled and deveined shrimp or prawns to make things easier on yourself. Otherwise you’ll have to peel and devein them yourself and that’s no fun!
- Always read your air fryer manual before using it. There are tons of different air fryer brands and models out there so you want to make sure you’re using this appliance correctly. Keep in mind that cooking times and temperature may vary because of this.
- For this recipe, I used jumbo shrimp. You may need to adjust the cooking time if you’re using smaller shrimp.
