These air fryer lobster tails are served with a garlic parmesan white wine sauce that’s absolutely scrumptious! Making lobster tails has never been easier ever since I purchased my air fryer. These were ready in under 10 minutes. I usually serve them with pasta which is a great combination for the garlic parmesan white wine sauce. You can also serve it with this Air Fryer Garlic Bread or some veggies. And did you know you can make dessert in the air fryer as well? I love a relaxing night in with the kids enjoying some of this Air Fryer S’mores Dip that we all love so much! Basically, what I’m trying to say is, if you don’t have an air fryer yet, what are you waiting for?!

Butterfly The Lobster Tails Before Cooking

How To Make Air Fryer Lobster Tails

  1. First, start by preheating the air fryer to 380 degrees F for 3 minutes.
  2. Grab a pair of kitchen shears. Butterfly the lobster tails by cutting lengthwise through the center of the top shell of the tail. Cut all the way to the tail but do not cut through it. Use your hands to spread apart the halves of the tail and expose the lobster meat.
  3. Place the lobster tails inside the air fryer making sure the lobster meat is facing up.
  4. Chop fresh parsley and mince the garlic cloves.
  5. Next, prepare the garlic parmesan white wine sauce which is made on the stovetop. In a sauce pan, add the butter, lemon juice, dry white wine, salt and paprika. Mix until the butter has melted and then add the minced garlic and fresh parsley stirring for just 15 seconds.
  6. Reserve 3 tbsp of the butter mixture to brush the lobster tails with, turn off the heat and leave the rest of the butter mixture inside the pan for now.
  7. Brush the lobster tail meat with the reserved butter mixture. Air fry at 380 degrees F for 5-7 minutes.
  8. Finish preparing the garlic parmesan white wine sauce. Return to the sauce pan with the butter mixture on the stovetop and turn on the heat to medium high. Add in the flour and whisk together with the other ingredients to break up any lumps.
  9. Add the heavy cream and parmesan cheese to the sauce and stir until the sauce thickens for about 4-5 minutes.
  10. Once the lobster tails are done cooking, remove them from the air fryer and serve topped with the garlic parmesan white wine sauce and fresh parsley. You can also make a side of pasta or potatoes to go with the rest of the sauce.

Tips & Variations

  • I purchased 4 oz lobster tails for this recipe. If you’re using smaller or larger lobster tails, be sure to adjust the cooking time. Keep an eye on the lobster tails at the 5 minute mark to check for doneness.
  • You’ll know the lobster tails are done when the exterior is bright red in color and the lobster meat is white and firm. If the meat is still translucent, it is not ready! You may also check the temperature using a kitchen thermometer. The internal temperature for the lobster tail meat should be between 140-145 degrees F. Anything above 145 degrees F and the meat will be over cooked and tough to chew.
  • Always read your air fryer manual before cooking in it. Cooking times and temperatures may vary depending on the power of your air fryer.
