- 12 oz swordfish steaks
- 1 tbsp lemon juice half of a lemon
- 3 tsp spicy adobo seasoning
- fresh parsley for garnishing
Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F for 5 minutes.
Pat dry the swordfish steaks with a paper towel. This will help the fish absorb all of the flavors from the seasoning and lemon juice.
Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the fish and season on both sides with spicy adobo seasoning or your own seasoning blend of choice. Spray the inside of the air fryer with a propellant free cooking spray. Avocado or olive oil works well.
Transfer the fish to the air fryer and cook at 400 degrees F for 10 minutes, flipping half way.
Serve with more lemon juice and top with fresh parsley if desired before serving.
- This recipe for air fryer swordfish was cooked to well done at an internal temperature of about 145 degrees F. Reduce the cooking time if you prefer your fish steaks cooked to medium or medium well.
- If you don’t like adobo seasoning, simply substitute with your own spice blend. Salt, pepper, garlic powder and a little lemon juice is simple but still delicious.
- Always read your air fryer manual before using it.
