How To Make Air Fryer Red Snapper Fillet

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F.
  2. Chop and mince the garlic clove, fresh parsley and rosemary and set aside.
  3. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over each piece of fish.
  4. Pat dry the fish fillets with a paper towel.
  5. Sprinkle salt and pepper on each red snapper fillet.
  6. Spray the inside of the air fryer with a propellant-free avocado oil spray.
  7. Transfer the fish to the air fryer and cook at 400 degrees F for 12-15 minutes or until completely cooked through.
  8. In a bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic clove, chopped parsley and rosemary. Mix well to combine.
  9. Remove the red snapper from the air fryer with a spatula so it doesn’t break apart and immediately top with homemade garlic herb butter. Serve and enjoy.

Storing Suggestions

Store leftover air fried red snapper immediately once the fillets have completely cooled. Keep in an air tight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days to preserve the fresh quality of the fish with no breading, of course. Once ready to enjoy again, heat in the air fryer at the lowest temperature until completely heated through or microwave if desired.

Air fryer red snapper fish is made with no breading at all so it's a very healthy meal to enjoy.

Recipe Notes

  • Check for doneness by twisting a fork into the thicket part of the fillet. If the fish is flaky, it’s ready.
  • Top with garlic herb butter straight out of the air fryer so the butter melts into the fish.
  • Cooking times may vary depending on the power of the air fryer you’re using.
  • Pat drying the fish before seasoning, will ensure the salt and pepper stick while preserving a mild fresh lemon juice flavor.
  • Always read your air fryer manual before using it.
