Beermosas are probably one of the easiest cocktails you will ever make! This beermosa recipe is made with just 2 simple ingredients and a sliced orange as an optional garnish. A light lime juice beer and orange juice is all you are going to need to make beermosas for happy hour. I love enjoying a refreshing beermosa pool side on hot summer days. You just can’t beat it. And of course I love an easy recipe but if you want to kick things up a notch, use homemade orange juice to make your beermosas. If you enjoyed this easy summer cocktail recipe, you will definitely love this Frozen Dragon Fruit Margarita recipe and this Blue Coconut Mojito for your next happy hour.

Making The Best Beer Mimosa

Everyone knows what a mimosa is! A delicious cocktail made with orange juice and chilled champagne. But for this beermosa recipe, we’re going with chilled beer and orange juice to switch things up. Who would have ever thought that a cocktail made with beer and orange juice would be so tasty? I honestly never knew that beer mimosa was a thing until I tried it at a restaurant and now I’m hooked!

  • Light Beer – Use light beer infused with lime juice for best results.
  • Orange Juice – Homemade orange juice works so well but store bought is just fine.
  • Orange – This ingredient is completely optional and is just used for garnishing. I like making the glasses look pretty with a little slice on the rim.
Beer and orange juice are the only ingredients you'll need to make beermosas.

How To Make Beermosas

  1. First, start by chilling the beer and orange juice for at least one hour before making the beermosas.
  2. Pour the orange juice into each of your glasses.
  3. Hold the glass at an angle and pour in the beer.
  4. Slice an orange and garnish the glasses if desired. Serve the beermosas, or should I say beer mimosas, while they’re still cold and enjoy!

Optional Garnishings

  • Basil Leaves
  • Mint Leaves
  • Rosemary Sprig
  • Lime Wedge
Easy beermosas are made with 2 ingredients.

Can I Make My Cocktail Ahead?

I don’t recommend making beermosas ahead of time. The reason why is because the beer will lose the fizz. And what makes this beer and orange juice drink so delicious is the way the fizzy beer mixes with the citrus flavors from the orange juice.

Can I Use Store Bought Orange Juice?

Absolutely! I actually recommend store bought orange juice because it’s easy and convenient to use. This organic orange juice is one of the best store bought brands I have tried for this beer mimosa recipe. But if you have the time and want to make homemade orange juice, then go for it!

Tips & Variations

  • If you don’t have oranges for garnishing, you can also use mint leaves, rosemary sprigs or even a lime wedge.
  • If you can’t find light beer infused with lime juice, use regular light beer and add 1-2 tbsp of lime juice according to taste.
  • Use homemade orange juice or store bought for this recipe. Either one will work just fine. For store bought, I recommend this organic orange juice. It’s the best I’ve tried so far.

Omg I have to try this! It combines two ingredients I don’t love separately – but together they actually sound really refreshing
