What Is Nice Cream?
Nice cream is simply a vegan or vegetarian, dairy free version of ice cream. It’s usually made without processed sugars using only natural occurring sugars from fruit. Frozen fruit is blended together with other ingredients such as nut milk or nut butter. You can add any topping of your choice if you want to kick it up a notch.
Are Oreos Vegan?
I do not consider this dairy free recipe to be vegan because of the Oreos. Due to cross contamination with milk, Oreos are not exactly vegan friendly. However, cookies and cream nice cream is a great recipe for most vegetarians to enjoy. It’s really going to be your call whether you’re still willing to enjoy Oreos as a vegan while knowing about the possible cross contamination with milk.
Where Can I Buy Vanilla Almond Butter?
I love the Justin’s brand for vanilla almond butter. Purchase it from most grocery stores in the nut butter aisle or buy it from here instead. If you can’t find vanilla almond butter at all, use regular almond butter or your nut butter of choice and add 1 tsp of vanilla extract to your oreo nice cream recipe.
Storing Suggestions
Place leftover oreo nice cream in an air tight container. Cover tightly with plastic wrap before closing the lid. Freeze for up to 4 days for best results.

- Make sure to break up the frozen bananas into smaller pieces if they have clumped together. This will help with the blending process.
